LegalDocs Assist drafts the documents a claimant file actually turns on. It reads the papers you already hold, produces a court-format draft, and checks it against the rules before your fee earner reviews and signs it.

Legal document automation is software that produces a first draft of a legal document from information the firm already holds, rather than a fee earner opening a precedent and retyping the facts. At the simple end it is merge fields on a template. At the useful end, for litigation, it reads the case papers, extracts the facts, assembles them in the structure a court expects, and checks the result against the rules that govern that document.
LegalDocs Assist sits at the second end. It is built for UK claimant law firms in five practice areas: RTA and credit hire, employers’ liability, occupiers’ and public liability, housing disrepair, and clinical negligence. Every draft is grounded in a curated library of 210 UK authorities across five practice areas, and the model is not permitted to cite anything outside it.
It is decision support, not automated decision making. The fee earner verifies the facts with the witness, checks the authorities, and signs the statement of truth.
CPR Part 32 and PD 32 format, statement of truth wording, exhibit references, preparation-method disclosure and an AI-use declaration block aligned to the Civil Justice Council position. Fifteen automated format checks run before export.
Pre-Action Protocol letters assembled from the chronology and the evidence on file, including clinical negligence letters of claim built to paragraph 3.16 of the protocol.
Housing disrepair chronologies with per-photo attribution and exhibit cover sheets, and clinical negligence chronologies drawn from the medical records.
Impecuniosity assessed from bank statements against the Lagden framework, liability assessed with recovery percentages, and basic hire rate reports interrogated check by check.
Disorganised records become a paginated, indexed, deduplicated PDF with a clinical chronology and radiology schedule.
Structured, authority-backed replies to third party insurer and basic hire rate correspondence, argument by argument.
Drop the papers you already hold into named slots: call notes, accident report, engineer report, hire agreement, payment pack, pleadings, tenancy file or medical records.
Text is extracted in your browser. Personal identifiers are masked before any model call. Facts are pulled with a recorded source for each one.
You see what was read, where it came from, and what the system was unsure about. Nothing is invented to fill a gap; missing facts are flagged, not guessed.
The draft is assembled to your firm house style and run through the compliance checks, then exported to Word or PDF for review and signature.
Claimant firms and credit hire operations in the UK, from five-fee-earner teams to volume departments. Each practice area is licensed as its own module, so a firm doing RTA and housing disrepair pays for those two and nothing else.
Buying decisions usually involve three people: the head of department who cares about evidence quality, the operations lead who cares about throughput, and the COLP or DPO who cares about where client data goes. The security page and the data processing agreement are written for the third.
LegalDocs Assist is built for the courts of England and Wales, with Scottish and Northern Irish variants where the procedure differs. Every authority in the library is a UK authority.
